Using the Instrument Information area

The instrument area can be used to perform two advanced modifications to the loaded instrument.
In the instrument information area,
  • The rootnote of the instrument can be changed, and
  • extra waves can be imported (extra instrument levels can be created).

To change the rootnote,

focus on the rootnote (to the left, as seen in the image below),
click again or press F2 (the standard windows way of renaming a file),
    type the new note (e.g. A-4, F-6, G-2).
Now, when playing the sample with a sampler/tracker machine, the note will appear to be played on a different frequencey, according to the rootnote you just specified.

To import an extra wave (create an extra level),

    focus on the rootnote,
click right, a drop-down menu with two options will appear as you see in the image below
select Import wave, you will now be able to
select a .wav file from a source outside buzz.
Now, for this example, assume you have two waves in your instrument, the first with the (default) rootnote C-4, and the second one the one just added. Change the rootnote of the second wave to C-5 (default C-9). Now, when you enter notes for this instrument in a tracker/sampler machine, the notes in the pattern that are C-5 or higher will let Buzz play the second sample, notes that are lower will let Buzz play the first sample.
Repeating the actions above enables you to assemble your own instruments.
