In a mailconversation recently, Claudio Bustos (aka 'Claudex') proposed to open
a cvs repository on sourceforge.net to manage the Spanish translation, which he will
co-ordinate. Watch closely: http://dkm3.sourceforge.net

Updated links |
04-12-01 |
Loose Jam made me aware of the fact that some internal links didn't work in the french version.
This was a result of that the current server is case sensitive for filenames.
I checked all the links (in french, japanese and english versions) and corrected the broken ones.
They're all working again now.

Japanese translation finished!! |
02-11-01 |
After months of hard work I am very proud to publish the japanese version of this manual!! We need to thank Watanabe and his team for all the hard work and the extreme patience and discipline to translate all the 191 (!) html files of the manual to japanese. It is beyond any doubt that this is a great achievement for the Japanese buzz-scene. Some words of Watanabe:
About the Japanese version
The Japanese version was translated by some volunteers gathered on the Buzz Japanese mailing list 'Buzz-Talk-Japan'. Each volunteer worked on various chapters as listed below:
Home, Introduction, Getting Started - NANGLE, WATANABE
Configuring Buzz, Global Interface & Menus, Pattern Editor - WATANABE
Machine Editor - toschi
Sequence Editor - WATANABE
Wavetable Editors and all following chapters - D51
Work which overall proofreads - WATANABE
I am very thankful to people that participated in the translation, and encouragement by many persons.
I had received encouraging mail from Mr.Thev, who created the original, periodically. Mr.Thev cannot read Japanese. However, I wish to express gratitude here.
My proofreading work progressed very slowly. Therefore, releasing was considerably late for schedule.
I am very sorry. In addition, please contact Watanabe if there is mistake or whatsoever.
When using Buzz, I am pleased if this japanese version gives you a hand in understanding the program.

Writing of section MIDI and Buzz cancelled till further notice |
15-09-01 |
Due to a lack of room in his agenda Peter Kaufmann mailed me he wouldn't be able to do the section MIDI and Buzz for now. Maybe some day he'll find some time and will be able to write the section after all. I'll keep you informed.

More translations coming up |
27-07-01 |
The registration of www.buzzmanual.com seems to have triggered a lot of enthousiasm.
There are two new translation projects on the move! With the
japanese
manual almost finished, right now Andreas Rimheden,
the author of the swedish translation of the old manualversion (visit it at
www.epapper.net/buzz)
starts on a swedish translation of this version.
At the same time, Claudio Bustos starts on a spanish translation!
We are looking for re-readers for Claudio and Andreas to send their translations to. Just like Jeff Haze
worked together with Loose Jam (the french translators), we need someone to check the swedish and spanish files
on mistakes etc to guarantee high quality. Please mail either one of them or me
when you feel that you can contribute to the buzzscene here.

Vinco is planning to make a dutch translation of this manual.
He mailed me some examples and it definitly looks like he knows what he is doing!
Is there anyone that wants to re-read the files he translates in order to correct spelling/grammar mistakes?
Let us know!
Neil Aubin proposed to make a printable version of this manual.
This seems as a very good idea to me. Is there anyone that wants support him in any way?

Japanese translators working real hard! |
29-05-01 |
Watanabe mailed me with a link to the temporal
version of the japanese translation of buzzmanual:
http://homepage1.nifty.com/neue/buzzmanual/index.html. It is almost complete!
Only the navigating frame and the header etc and a just few of the body-files aren't translated yet.
I noticed that the files don't include a correct meta-tag for the character-set yet,
so users with no standard japanese font in their browsers will not see japanese text.
This will be fixed of course, just as the few missing translations, so stay tuned!

Changed interface and added "Buzz and MIDI" tab |
24-04-01 |
I changed the intro-page a little to make it more logical.
I got a tip some weeks ago that the way it is now would probably be a bit more
understandable.
Further: I asked Peter Kaufmann (the developer of HACK M-sync, you might know him)
to write a section about how to use MIDI with buzz. He accepted the job!
Optimistic as I am, I already added the proper tabs in the navigation frame. For now, all info you can
find there will be that that section is under construction, but watch out for more!

French translation finished!! |
04-04-01 |
Finally, after lots of hours
of hard work, Loose Jam together with Jeff
Haze put the last hand to his french translation of this manual.
Some quotes of Loose Jam's final mail:
This project is now over! I made it!
And within the timing I had planned a few weeks ago. I'm
glad. It was a pleasure working with you and I hope
others projects will come up related to Buzz in the
future. Let's hope this wonderful free software will
keep on its way and stay free... It's a great
achievement and it proves that, if necessary, an
international team can collaborate and work in good
conditions even if no one gets paid for it, just for

Two groups of enthousiastic buzzers are working on translations
of this manual. The translators call
themselves Watanabe (translating to Japanese)
and Loose Jam (translating to French). This is GOOD work. As soon as
the translations are finished I will put them online here. Japanese users, also make sure to check
Watanabe's Japanese buzz site, updated daily!

Third content review |

The third review is done. Took much more time than I expected. Anyway, I think all
the spelling and grammar mistakes are corrected now. If not, let me know!

Fixed Some bugs |
03-01-01 |
Of course after the first rushy publishing of this buzzmanual there remained some
technical bugs. I fixed most of them now. I haven't come to a second, no, .. third
review of the contents yet, although that might be nescessary.
I get some hints that not -every- spelling mistake is corrected yet.
